Being a business owner and father, I know you’re wearing many hats, and here are a few things to understand:
It’s ok not to have a perfect balance. Perfection is an illusion you don’t have to aspire to. Check in with both your business and family often and focus on prioritizing vs. trying to do it all.
Set clear boundaries: this won’t always be easy but separate work and home. During work time get family to give you space to work and during home time be present.
Your time is limited when you have a kid. Focus on the most important tasks and outsource the rest if possible. This applies to both business and home.
It’s less about sacrificing one for the other and more about pacing yourself. Sometimes, you may achieve your goals a little slower but who creates these timelines anyway?
